About the role:
As the Kitchen Assistant at Shilstone Café, you will be a vital part of our Café team. The ideal candidate will assist in maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in the kitchen, supporting our chef in food preparation and ensuring a smooth kitchen operation.
Duties:
– Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas
– Assist the chef in basic food preparation tasks
– Dispose of waste and recycling appropriately
– Maintain stock levels of cleaning supplies
– Follow health and safety guidelines at all times
– Support the kitchen team with ad-hoc tasks as required
Requirements:
– Previous experience in a hospitality or restaurant setting is advantageous
– Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques
– Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
– Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
– Willingness to learn and help wherever needed
– Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with the kitchen staff
