A lovingly restored Grade II listed Georgian manor house on a 500-acre estate in the Devon countryside, with uninterrupted views of the rolling hills and fields, acres of gardens, farmland and woodland, and walks to explore.

The Role
We are seeking experienced Waiting Staff to join our team at Shilstone House. Your main responsibility is to ensure that guests have an enjoyable experience. You will deliver excellent service from initial greeting, taking orders, making recommendations, to the paying of the bill.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and seat guests warmly, setting the tone for their experience
- Take food and drink orders clearly and confident
- Serve meals and drinks in a timely, calm and attentive manner
- Stay present and engaged with guests throughout their visit
- Handle questions and feedback with professionalism and care
- Process bills and payments accurately
- Keep tables and service areas clean, tidy and well-presented
- Follow hygiene, safety and cleanliness procedures
- Work closely with the kitchen and your teammates to ensure smooth, well-paced service
Skills & Experience:
- 1-2 years’ experience in a busy restaurant (preferred but not essential)
- Team player who communicates well with all colleagues
- Punctual, reliable, and trustworthy
- Sense of urgency
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Have a genuine passion for food and beverage
Additional Information:
- Your own transport is essential as we are not on any bus routes
Pay & Benefits:
- 7 hours per week – Sundays 10am-5pm
- Up to £12.75 per hour (dependent on age and experience) with tips.
