To all of the wonderful Shilstone team,
We fell in love with Shilstone when we first swept around the drive on a wet September day and when we kicked our shoes off at the end of the party we were absolutely delighted with our choice of venue.
Dan and I both like to think of ourselves as organised in a work context, but acknowledge that paying attention to detail and being organised can prompt a certain level of stress. Balance this with everyone telling us to enjoy the experience/that this will be the best day of our lives left us feeling at times confused! Your team really helped us to bridge this gap. You were organised and practical but also helped us to enjoy the ride. For example, we loved the canapé/wine tasting day and also our visit where we walked through the day from start to finish.
Thank you very much for creating such a wonderful day for us and to every team member who made it come to life. Many of our guests commented on the beautiful grounds, the quality of table service, the friendly bar staff and the general flow of the day from the ceremony barn through to the marquee and onward. The group also LOVED the buffalo wings- thank you so much for catering to Dan’s whim!
We loved staying with our family and friends in the barns, these were perfect for the purpose and we won’t forget the wild buggy ride back at the end of the evening!
We genuinely feel such affection and gratitude to the whole team, particularly Hollie, Jo and Sebastian who we spent time with along the way. Hollie- you handled my many 30 second calls “Just one thing…” with such humour and grace. Jo – your calm manner when the mud spattered through the buggy onto my dress on the way up to the barn! You were a rock throughout. Sebastian – you painted a picture on our first visit of what it could be like and that stuck with us all the way through, we will always be grateful that you shared your home with us. We hope you have had a wonderful summer of weddings and we wish you luck for those that remain. Hopefully, we can pay a visit sometime to relive fond memories. For now though- simply thank you!
