Wedding Journey
Getting married at Shilstone is like having your very own country house to yourself. A wedding day at Shilstone is about creating a journey for you and your guests, where each part of the day has a different area.
The Day Before
From cocktails on the lawn and delicious wood fired supper the night before, to playing croquet and watching the sunset, Shilstone can also offer the exclusive use of our swimming pool, with its stunning views down the valley. The beautiful local beaches are also easily accessible.
Getting Ready
Kitted out with a Hollywood style vanity mirror, Meadow Barn is the perfect place to prepare for the big day, surrounded by close friends and family.
Ceremonies
Choose from the airy, double-height ceiling of the barn, to sitting in front of the house surrounded by white roses and wisteria, or alternatively a traditional local church wedding.
The Great Barn
An original 19th century hay barn, with high ceilings and exposed oak beams, create the perfect space for your civil ceremony.
The East Garden
During the summer, host your ceremony in the east garden framed by yew buttresses and sweet smelling wisteria.

Receptions
The halls and dining room all link together for the drinks and canape reception which leads both on to the south lawn with its glorious views down the valley, and to the west garden where your guests can gather outside on warmer days.
Dinner
Our Mughal marquee – the perfect canvas for you to add your touch – has plenty of room for you and your guests. The food is effortlessly and swiftly brought to your table by our team, letting you sit back and enjoy the moment.
Eat and Drink
Our menus reflect everything we love about food and drinks, and our chefs carefully create a number of dishes inspired by the seasons, and underpinned by the fantastic local produce we have on our doorstep.

The Party
With a ceiling twinkling with lights and doors and windows open into the walled garden, the marquee has a fully stocked bar where the cocktails flow all night.
Sleep
At the end of the party our driver will ferry you back to the barns and shepherd’s huts, with room for up to 38 guests, and which are exclusively available for you and your guests.
Post Party
We can arrange a number of things to do the day after, from delicious restorative breakfast to brunch outside in the courtyard followed by croquet on the lawn.
